Rex Ghassemi, M.D., F.A.C.C., is certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
In addition to founding ACP Vein Center in Wayne, he is a founding member of Advanced Cardiology Practice and serves as Medical Director of Cardiac Catheterization at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital.
Dr. Ghassemi specializes in advanced vascular procedures, which include Vascular Laser Therapy for the treatment of varicose veins, laser ablation and sclerotherapy. He also specializes in advanced cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, laser atherectomy and stenting of the carotid arteries and arteries of the legs and kidneys.
Dr. Ghassemi received his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ)/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden. His internship and residency were completed at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia in Internal Medicine in 1991. He completed his fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1994 and in 1995 completed an Interventional Fellowship at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.
He has served as a clinical instructor of Medicine on the faculty of Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia since 1991. He currently serves as a proctor and teaches the method of laser varicose vein treatment to other physicians. He is licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida.
A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Dr. Ghassemi graduated from Paramus High School and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where he earned a BA. He is married and the father of two children.
Jodie Epstein NP-C, MSN, RN is a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the states of New Jersey and New York. She is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from William Paterson University in 2007 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2001 from The College of New Jersey. She is member of the American Venous Forum and Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honor society.
Rick Adams NP-C, MSN, RN is a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey. He is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
He received his Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2011 and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from UMDNJ in 2007. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honor society.
